Yeah. This is kind of funny to me because this story came on the heels of a couple weeks of stories about how the White House was growing tired of him. Officials at the Pentagon were ready for him to go. You even had senior military officials basically craft a petition saying, he is incompetent, he is unqualified, he is the worst leader we've ever had, and he has to go. So everybody hates Pete. The White House got super at him over the polygraph tests that he was giving employees, ordered him to stop it and that's a funny story in and of itself. But everybody hates him. Nobody wants him there. And I think he's starting to understand that like, wait a minute, maybe I'm in over my head. Maybe texting war plans to a reporter wasn't the smartest thing for me to do, especially on an app that we're not even supposed to be using as government officials anyway. So it's all kind of caught up to him and we're only six months into this administration, and this guy is already looking for the exits and can't seem to figure out how to make that happen, which is even funnier.

Well, unfortunately, the US military's exit strategy sometimes leaves something to be desired and Hegseth is following along line of that. However, the only thing I know he's done, other than being drunk and accused of sexual assault of multiple women is leak information and install a makeup studio in the Pentagon. He doesn't give briefings. And then the Pentagon spokesperson comes out throwing political grenades very aggressively denying this story. That he's gonna be here forever, which is generally a sign with this administration that the opposite is true. I can't think of any reason he would want to stay at this point. This is what happens when you pick a TV personality. We're six months in, this is a real job. You have to work. And he's not good at it.

And the idea of him running for Governor of Tennessee, obviously it's a red state, so perhaps he could. But all it's gonna take if he decides to run for office is a Republican in a primary, or even a Democratic general election opponent, to go out there and recruit these military officials that have crafted this petition and say, hey, you guys want to cut an ad for me? Talk about how horrible he is. Talk about how incompetent and unprofessional he is. Great. 30 seconds is all I need, and you're gonna take Hegseth down. I don't think this man has a future in electoral politics, perhaps being appointed to something, sure. But with the mistakes that he has made, with the troops he has endangered, you get some of them on camera to run an attack ad against him, and that'll seal the deal, especially in a red state like Tennessee.

And it wasn't political connections that got him this job. This is one of the people that Donald Trump said, oh, I like how he looks on TV and he gave him a job. And then, of course all the problems came out, but senators voted to confirm this man. He was confirmed. And I think that's something that I hope the viewers remember in their various elections around the country or the senators who confirmed this man, knowing what we knew then it cannot be surprising to see what a failure he has been.

And what's interesting too about his time at Fox is that he wasn't a primetime host. He wasn't even really a weekday host. He was a weekday fill in who also hosted the 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM Fox and Friends on the weekends. So this guy's on the air at 4:00 AM on a Saturday morning, not exactly the largest cable news audience at the time. But Fox didn't even have faith in him. He's not ready for prime time and Trump said, I don't care. I want to put him in charge of the military.
