4:19Now PlayingDonald Trump has nominated one of the architects and authors of The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 to be the new chief statistician at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The nominee, EJ Antoni, has already told Fox News that he is going to stop releasing monthly jobs reports (if confirmed) because he wants to get to the bottom of what’s happening with the statistics. In other words, he’s admitting that he’s going to hide unflattering data, which will cause even more economic chaos than releasing bad numbers. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

Donald Trump has made his pick to replace Dr. Erica McIntyre as the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. And it happens to be one of the key architects and co-authors of Project 2025. EJ and Tony will be the new leader of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Of course, assuming the nomination, uh, uh, makes it through the Senate, but it will, and we will have a project 2025 author who already told Fox News this week that he is going to stop releasing the data until he gets everything sorted out and fixed at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. So effectively what Donald Trump did was he took the advice of his friends, people like Steve Bannon, who have been talking for a long time about Anton and saying he should be the leader of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. And Trump said, sure, why not? He's from the Heritage Foundation.
He wrote part of Project 2025. This is the perfect guy to cook the books on the economy and keep everyone in the dark about what's actually happening. Here is why that is such a big deal. If businesses, if Wall Street does not get accurate numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which we can already go ahead and assume, they will no longer be getting accurate numbers. They cannot plan, they cannot make informed decisions. Now, this may seem, you know, like a small matter, but it's not. Businesses across the country heavily rely on those jobs numbers. They use it to see which industries are thriving, which are dying. What are the hiring trends? What is the competitive pay that we should be offering to stay in line with everybody else in our industry? They do use these numbers every month, folks, these aren't just stats. The government throws out as like, ah, this is what happened.
See you later. Okay, cool, thanks. No, these are vital numbers that are of utmost importance to businesses. Also, as I mentioned, wall Street, if they see a bunch of sectors or a certain sector above all hiring tons and tons and tons of people, seems like that's a good place to invest money because obviously they're booming, they're thriving, they're expanding. That is likely going to lead to more revenue, which could lead to more dividends for the folks on Wall Street. If they can't rely on that data or if the data is in fact falsified, it will cause them to make investments that then bottom out losing the, the pension funds of retirees. All of
This matters. And putting this little freak from the Heritage Foundation in charge of that is going to destroy the ability of our economy to actually make informed decisions. But Trump doesn't care about that 'cause he doesn't actually care about the economy. All he cares about is I have to look great. Everything has to be absolutely perfect because I am absolutely perfect. He is going to destroy the entire United States economy, which is already happening, by the way, because of his narcissism, because of his inability to admit that he has made mistakes. We will be the ones paying these prices literally and figuratively. By the way, this is possibly the worst pick that Donald Trump could have made, and the economy is going to be worse off for years as a result of this. Thanks for watching everybody.
