Donald Trump dipped out of his meeting with leaders from the European Union this week in order to take a phone call from Vladimir Putin, and Trump admitted on Tuesday that he did it because he didn’t want to “disrespect” Putin. This is all the proof you need that Trump is deathly afraid of Putin to the point where he will literally drop everything he’s doing to take his phone call. That’s a level of power that Putin probably never thought he’d have over the United States, but here we are. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

During his Tuesday conversation with the folks at Fox and Friends Donald Trump accidentally admitted, or maybe even intentionally admitted, I don't know, I'm nodding his head, thank God. But he admitted that he is terrified of Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump officially has seated any high ground that he may have had in his ability to talk or negotiate with Vladimir Putin by admitting that he is afraid of the guy. Here's how this happened. Donald Trump was asked, of course, about the report saying that he interrupted his meeting with Zelensky in European leaders to go and take a phone call from Vlad, right? Because the staff was like, Hey, Vlad's calling. And Trump's like, oh, sh I gotta go. I gotta go, guys gotta go. And he runs out, answers the phone because God forbid he sent Putin to voicemail. So they asked him about it, and here's what Trump said.

Well, I think they expected it. I didn't do it in front of them. I thought that would be disrespectful to President Putin. I wouldn't do that because they have not had the warmest relations. And actually, president Putin wouldn't talk to the people from Europe. It was years that he didn't speak to anybody from the White House. And it was a long time that he didn't speak to anybody from Europe. No, it's a fractured relationship. And when I came in, I always had, despite the Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, which truly was a very dangerous thing for our country. But despite that, I maintained a very good relationship. I mean, you saw that when he got off his plane, I got off my plane, there was a warmth there that you can't, you know, there's a decent feeling and it's a good thing. It's not a bad thing.

Okay? Um, I, I don't know if you and Putin need to get a, get a room or what, but, uh, maybe bring out the, uh, cold water. Go take a cold shower. Uh, but, but that's creepy enough as it is. Not to mention the fact that Putin is in fact a blood thirsty dictator. If you are in his country, if you're in his, uh, administration cabinet, whatever you call it, and you say something bad or you do something he doesn't like, next thing you know, you're gonna be falling out a massive window and you're gonna die, or you're gonna be poisoned, or you're gonna be disappeared. This is a desper. He riggs elections just like Donald Trump wants to do. He, he basically, he does everything Donald Trump wants to do. He controls the media. He riggs the elections. He kills his adversaries. My God, that's everything Trump wants to be. So of course, he idolizes this man. And of course he fears him because you heard it right at the beginning. I thought it would be disrespectful to Putin if I took the call in front of everyone else, or if I didn't take the call at all. That ladies and gentlemen was a power move by Putin. He knew Trump was in the middle of meeting with these people. The whole world did. It was televised.

Putin knew, and Putin wanted to flex his muscle, and Trump came swooning at the side of those biceps. That's what happened there. So Trump is either in love with Putin, or he is terrified of making him mad. Either way, the US no longer has any power. We are not the world's biggest superpower anymore. Russia is, and Trump did that. He did that by himself. This, this was not something that other Republicans enabled him with, uh, unless you count, not impeaching him, but he did this. We are now as a country subservient to Russia because Donald Trump is both fearful and in love with Vladimir Putin. He just admitted it on Fox News.
