7:33Now PlayingFCC Chairman Brendan Carr published a Breitbart op-ed promising to eliminate the national TV ownership cap, then the FCC voted to do exactly that on August 6th. The rule had limited how much of the country one station owner could reach, and killing it opens the door for giants like Nexstar and Sinclair to grow even larger while claiming they are protecting local voices. Carr says he wants balance and local control, but the policy hands more power to national broadcast companies already dictating what millions of Americans see on local news.
