1:10Now PlayingThe St-Chamond was the 2nd French heavy tank design during the Great War, with around 400 built.
It mounted a 75mm howitzer in the nose plus 4 machine guns, but its very short track run meant poor cross country performance and trench-crossing ability.
This footage is from TANKFEST 2017 - when our friends at the Musée des Blindés brought their vehicle across to wow the crowds!
The majority of St-Chamonds were scrapped at the end of the war – and the Musée des Blindés vehicle is the sole surviving example.
