6:41Now PlayingPresident Joe Biden held a press conference on Thursday afternoon to update the public on the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic and his administration's vaccination efforts. Citing the manufacturing partnership with Johnson & Johnson and Merk, Biden says there will be enough vaccines for every adult in America by the end of May. He says his administration has supplied vaccine doses to more than 500 mobile clinics to meet people where they are and give them access if they do not live near a pharmacy or mass vaccination site. The president said, "speed and efficiency must be matched with fairness and equity." While the milestones are significant, President Biden said there is much more to do, and the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan will help. He has directed all states to make adults eligible for the vaccine no later than May 1, and some states have already changed eligibility requirements to meet the president's order.
