4:52Now PlayingThe trial against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin continues, BNC's Chief Legal Correspondent, Dr. Laura McNeal, spoke to Ben Crump, George Floyd's family attorney. Crump said Floyd's death was a "modern-day lynching." In pursuit of justice, he said there are three types: civil, criminal and legislative. The Floyd family received civil justice with a $27 million settlement from the city of Minneapolis. If Chauvin is charged, criminal justice would be obtained. Crump and the Floyd family are seeking legislative justice by trying to pass the "George Floyd Justice In Policing Act." Crump is urging President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to support the Congressional Black Caucus as they try to get the act passed.
