Now, the brands have issued new statements saying the bill is "unacceptable." Start Your Day hosts Sharon Reed and Mike Hill discussed their thoughts on the brands' new comments. Reed said, "it's a shame" that it took this long for the new statement to come out. Governor Brian Kemp responded to the backlash saying, "I'm glad to deal with it. If they want to have a debate about the merits and the facts of the bill, then we should do that." Hill said the companies are reversing course to avoid monetary losses that a boycott could cause.
