Phoenix College Professor of Music Business Matt Kirkpatrick and Twitch show host Shaheem Reid joined the show to discuss the rapper's legacy. During the special, Hill got emotional when speaking of the impact the rapper had on his life. "There was a certain part of my life, things I was going through, and DMX was talking to me and I felt his pain," Hill said as he held back tears. "I'm just sad in a sense because he was a tortured guy and a lot of people misunderstood him."
