12:57Now Playing\On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced that his administration administered 200 million shots of a COVID-19 vaccine. "Today, we did it. We hit 200 million shots," he said. Biden set the goal to administer 100 million shots within his first 100 days. After meeting that goal, his administration set a new goal for 200 million and reached it, still within his first 100 days in office. More than 50% of all American adults received at least one dose of the vaccine as of Sunday, Biden said. When he took office in January, the president said only 8% of seniors had received a dose of the vaccine. He says that number will be at 80% by Thursday and there has been a significant reduction in deaths of seniors from COVID-19.
