Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Marquez Valdez-Scantling joined "Start Your Day" with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to discuss his participation in the industry as owner of Trench Made Gaming. "Where I'm from, it's really tough to get where you want to be in life," he said, citing the name of his company as symbolism to the struggle growing up. The pro-football athlete grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and he said a lot of people don't make it out, especially young Black men. Citing his experience watching kids get caught up in gangs, drugs and gun violence, he wants his esports team to give members in the community a way out. Valdes-Scantling said he wants to be the best in everything he does in football and competitive gaming.
