“On one hand, we’ve come so far. On the other hand, we have so much work to do,” Davis says. “There’s a lot of places in this country that people who are trans, especially people who are trans of color, we have to worry about getting fired. We still have to worry about getting attacked."
Davis adds that she decided only to take roles that are good for her brand and wanted people to see her range as an actress.”
