7:46Now PlayingWorking more than 55 hours a week could be hazardous to your health, according to a study from the World Health Organization and the International Labour Organization. It found that people who work 55 hours or more have a higher risk of stroke and heart disease. The study drew data from 194 countries in 2016. China, Japan and Australia were the countries most affected. WHO officials are concerned that the surge in remote working could increase risks. Dr. Frita Fisher, the founder and president of Midtown Atlanta Nephrology, joins "Start Your Day" with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to talk about the study. She says exposure to prolonged stress can restrict the flow of blood to organs. Citing stressful jobs, including frontline industries fighting the pandemic, she says occupations with a high level of stress puts those workers at higher risk.
