Jackson-Lee has been in Tulsa for a few days and she said flying into town was an “emotional” experience.
“As I landed, I could feel the spirit of our ancestors and also the strength of this community,” she says.
Jackson-Lee also condemned an Oklahoma law that bans Critical Race Theory, which would make the teaching of the massacre more difficult.
“What a sad statement when you’re fearful of the truth,” she says. “I am disappointed in this pandemic of legislation.”
