This week, the House and Senate are in recess, but that did not stop some from speaking publicly on the issue. Washington D.C. On Friday, the vote was 54 to 35, just six votes shy of what was needed to advance the bill. GOP Senators Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney, Susan Collins, Bill Cassidy, Rob Portman, and Ben Sasse voted in favor with the Democrats.
