BNC’s Dray Clark takes a look at the current economy in Greenwood facing gentrification, and speaks with it’s current Black residents on how they are planning to preserve the city's history. Despite rebuilding a good percentage of the city, many roadblocks were placed on the road to recovery.
Insurance companies refused claims filed, citing the incident as a “riot,” which is not covered by their policies. Also, the report looks at attempts from local and state officials blocking any information or trace of the massacre, destroying documents and photos at that time.
