9:37Now PlayingIn his first TV interview, Craig Levi, the son of 76-year-old Gwen Levi, joins “Making the Case” to talk about his mother being rearrested for a parole violation, after she missed a phone call from her parole officer when she was in a computer class.
An emotional Levi says his mom was released during the pandemic and became a prison reform activist, which helped her become a more compassionate person.
“She wanted to help others. She wanted to give back to the community. Basically, she saw a need in helping incarcerated women,” Levi says. “That was her sole purpose.”
