“This global web series competition provides funding for emerging Black women filmmakers from Brazil, Colombia, Kenya and South Africa to help develop their own projects," Hill says.
According to a study from the Brazilian film agency Ancine, 75% of mainstream films were directed by white men, while Black women-directed no mainstream films.
