However, the funeral was not as peaceful as Moïse’s family hoped. It was a scene of protests, tension and violence. Foreign dignitaries had to leave the funeral early due to safety concerns, as gunshots were fired outside the ceremony.
There are still unanswered questions about President Moïse’s murder. Laurent Dubois, co-director of the Democracy Initiative at University of Virginia and author of "Haiti: The Aftershocks of History," joins Charles Blow on “Prime” to talk about the tensions in Haiti.
