The U.S champion will begin his quest for gold one week from tomorrow. Roberts spoke with BNC about his first-time Olympian nervousness and disappointment. “It is a little disappointing,” Robert said. “Growing up watching the experience of the Olympics my whole life pretty much and then finally getting here and then it [Olympics] being during a pandemic.” Despite the pandemic disappointment, Roberts added that he is still excited to be able to be competing in the Olympics.
