9:34Now PlayingWelcome to “Making the Case” hosted by Yodit Tewolde.
Coming up, there are two incidents of police brutality in Atlanta, Georgia.
Anger and outrage continues over a video showing a police sergeant kicking a Black woman, identified as Ashley Cooley, in the head while on the ground in handcuffs. As a result, the sergeant has been suspended without pay and his partner has been reassigned to desk duty.
Also, Gabriel “Sam” Parker was shot and killed by police officers at a block party. He was trying to break up a fight as officers were called to the party and fired shots that murdered Parker.
Gerald Griggs, vice president of the NAACP Atlanta Branch, joined Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss the cases.
