Their intention was to block a vote on GOP-led legislation that would restrict voting. It would create harsher voter ID requirements, forbid 24-hour and drive thru voting and stop election officials from sending voters unsolicited absentee ballots. Reverend William J. Barber II and former Texas representative Beto O'Rourke launched a four-day, 27-mile “March for Democracy” in Texas to fight against voter suppression.
Reverend Barber II joins Kelly Wright on “The World Tonight” from Austin, Texas, to discuss the march and fighting for the rights of poor people.
