WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said that the focus needs to be on distributing the supply of the vaccine to poorer countries whose health care workers and older population are the most vulnerable.
Also, England’s government is taking action by arresting 11 people for online hate crimes, brought on by the racist attacks on the three Black English soccer players after the UEFA European Football Championship. The government hopes that the punishment will "act as a clear deterrent for perpetrators of online abuse who believe there will be no real-world consequences for their actions."
Burkina Faso won its first Olympic medal in five decades, as Hugues Fabrice Zango won the bronze medal in the men’s triple jump.
