Roughly 43 children are diagnosed with cancer each day in the United States. In 2012, former President Barack Obama gave September the declaration to raise awareness of the issue.
“BNC Live” welcomes Dr. Yolandra Hancock, a pediatrician and public health expert, to explain what causes children to get cancer. Dr. Hancock acknowledges that childhood cancer is very rare but according to statistics it can be more common than people would like it to be.
