0:25Now PlayingFor the first time in its history, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration gave its authorization for the sale of e-cigarettes.
The ruling applies to the Vuse Solo e-cigarettes and its tobacco-flavored e-liquid pods.
In a statement, the FDA stressed this does not mean the products are safe or FDA approved. The authorization covers only the tobacco flavor but does not include some of the flavors popular with kids and teens.
