Skilled workers are leveraging their bargaining power by demanding higher pay, improved working conditions, and more flexibility such as working from home. A record 4.3 million people quit their jobs in August, an increase of 242,000 from July. Studies show workers quitting food services, wholesale trade and education and are unafraid of leaving a job.
