It was a moderately down day on Wall Street on Tuesday as the DOW lost nearly 118 points at 34.278, the S&P closed at 43.50 and the tech-heavy NASDAQ finished at 14,465. More Americans are bidding their bosses farewell than the past two decades, with 4.3 million people quitting their jobs in August—the highest rate since December 2000. The International Monetary Fund says the world economy is tapping the brakes and slightly downgrading its outlook for the global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic recession.
