The country was recording more than 1,000 new cases of the coronavirus a day in July.
In Sudan, Facebook announced it shut down two networks of fake Sudanese accounts linked to supporters of ousted President Omar al-Bashir. Pro-army demonstrators have protested on the streets of the capital of Khartoum, calling for a military takeover of the east African nation and the dissolution of Sudan’s civilian government.
