Scientists have now developed a new type of vaccine that uses DNA in preparing the body’s immune system to ward off an infection.
The world’s first DNA vaccine is called ZyCoV-D. It offers protection against COVID-19 and has received emergency use authorization in India, where it’s expected to roll out soon.
