In what’s being called its “worst crisis ever,” leaked internal documents have revealed the social media giant has struggled to root out misinformation and extremist content, fueling violent ethnic conflicts in countries such as India. BNC’s chief affairs correspondent Nayyera Haq joins Walters for the latest. She says algorithms were designed to push people to extremes, adding the company “literally” made choices to not get rid of content encouraging violence and radicalization.
