1:56Now PlayingProtests against vaccine mandates continued for a second straight day in New York City.
On Oct. 25, hundreds of people stopped traffic as they marched across the Brooklyn Bridge. Many protesters can be seen maskless and proudly wearing NYPD and FDNY clothing. They were protesting vaccine mandates for police, firefighters and other city employees.
A day prior, another anti-vaccine protest erupted outside of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. This one was in support of Nets’ guard Kyrie Irving, who is benched for his refusal to get vaccinated. Passionate fans stormed the arena while chanting, “No Vaccine Mandate” and holding signs that read, “Stand with Kyrie.”
