Most often, when a case finds itself in the headlines, the victims are white. According to the Black and Missing Foundation, Black people only make up about 13% of the population, but people of color account for nearly 40% of missing persons. And yet no one looks for us.
A new documentary on HBO will be covering the Black and Missing Foundation and all of their efforts. Co-founder and CEO Derrica Wilson joined “AMplified” to speak on the statistics and what her organization does to help find missing people.
