13:46Now PlayingBefore closing arguments in the murder trial for Kyle Rittenhouse, the judge dismissed the misdemeanor charge for possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under the age of 18.
Prosecutors conceded that the AR-15 Rittenhouse possessed was not short-barreled, therefore meeting legal requirements for possession in the state of Wisconsin. Despite firing his weapon during the unrest, Rittenhouse’s defense argued that he should not have been classified as an active shooter during closing arguments.
Rittenhouse’s fate will be determined by a jury, 12 of whom were chosen from an 18-member pool.
CK Hoffler, chairwoman of the Rainbow Push Coalition, and former prosecutor Charles Coleman, join Charles Blow on “Prime” to discuss the defense’s closing argument.
All this and more on “Prime.”
