9:49Now PlayingIn Kenosha, Wisconsin, jury deliberations began in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, who is facing five felony charges after shooting three men, killing two and injuring a third, during a Black Lives Matter protest last year.
In a rare move that drew lots of attention online today, the defendant was allowed to play a direct role in selecting the final 12 jurors.
Rittenhouse randomly drew six slips of paper with juror numbers on them from a tumbler. Those selected would serve as alternates and those remaining in the tumbler made up the final 12.
