According to the Centers for Disease Control, more than 90,000 people died of an overdose in 2020, making it the worst year on record for the United States.
In New York City, more than 2,000 people perished, which is why city and health officials are trying something new in order to curb the number of people who die from drug overdoses. Ziff professor of psychology at Columbia University, Dr. Carl Hart, joins BNC’s “AMplified with Aisha Mills” to discuss drug use.
