This year, he established the Hezekiah Walker Center for Gospel Music at Virginia Union University. It is the first academic center of its kind in the U.S., dedicated to teaching the art and business of gospel music.
Bishop Walker has also landed a multimillion-dollar deal to build Hez House Apartments, which is a massive effort that would help provide housing for seniors and low-income residents of his Brooklyn community.
