Police in Douglas, Georgia, are currently under investigation after nearly beating an unarmed Black man to death back in August.
Twenty-nine-year-old Pernell Harris was cuffed, punched and repeatedly tased in the back of the head by officers.
The incident left Harris in a vegetative state for weeks. Coffee County officers were responding to a dispute between Harris and his girlfriend, who recorded the incident.
Criminal defense attorney Gerald Griggs, who represents Harris, joins Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss the incident and the latest in his case.
