8:29Now PlayingMore than six months after ex-officer Derek Chauvin was sentenced to 22 and a half years for the murder of George Floyd, the federal trial for the three officers who were with Chauvin that day, and who didn’t stop him, began today.
It’s an aspect of police culture that will ultimately be put on trial, as some of the officers’ defense attorneys are expected to place the full blame on Chauvin.
Police reform and what exactly comes of it though may prove tricky when violent crime seems to be surging in some cities.
