8:03Now PlayingThe death of Cheslie Kryst by suicide has sent shockwaves throughout the Black community, reigniting conversations about taking care of one’s mental health.
Kryst, a former Miss USA, lawyer, celebrity correspondent and attorney, seemingly had it all from the outside looking in. Boston Medical Center psychiatrist Dr. Christine Crawford joins “BNC Live” host Tashanea Whitlow to discuss how to tell if someone is struggling. Crawford says when it comes to depression and thoughts of suicide, a lot of it has to do with internal experiences and emotions a person is having.
