But this morning in court, as the defendants attempted to plead guilty to the charges as part of the agreement, over the objections of Ahmaud Arbery's family, the judge rejected the plea bargain.
Arbery's mother, Wanda Cooper-Jones, spoke in court and said, "It gives them one last chance to spit in my face after murdering my son."
