Without her groundbreaking research in theoretical physics, people would’ve never discovered numerous developments in the telecommunication field. These scientific breakthroughs brought people the touch-tone telephone, the portable fax, caller ID, call waiting and fiber-optic.
Today, Dr. Jackson is the 18th president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
