Ripple chief cryptographer, David Schwartz, commenting on Twitter that he hasn’t missed the next Ethereum, alluding to Ripple. Codius, a smart contract project that was being worked on by Ripple was in hibernate mode. Stefan Thomas, CTO Of Ripple Labs headed up the project. Codius enables smart contracts on Ripple which puts into direct competition with Ethereum! David Schwartz’s comments suggests Codius could be back in the works! This would be huge if Ripple enables smart contracts, it would increase its worth and potential use.
