Not all insider trading is illegal. Today, I’m talking about the legal kind. What does it mean when insiders — usually company execs — buy or sell shares of their company stock?

It’s worth taking the time to see what company insiders are doing with their shares.

In theory, the company insiders probably know something you don’t. And what they know could be making them feel really pessimistic or optimistic about their stake in the company.

So if you follow that logic ... if insiders are buying, you should too ... And if they’re selling, you should stay away...

But that’s not necessarily the case.

When it comes to insider trading, things aren’t always what they seem. So you need to educate yourself.
