Unfortunately I forgot to add frequency lines to the pitch tracking window. The Middle A is 220hz. The Lower D is 147hz. The upper D is 294 hz. This will be fixed for next time! Oh and I mis-spelled femininity. Oops.

The following video is the first of many presenting a collection of female voices. The intent is to educate and empower women everywhere. It's my hope that by developing and cultivating a continually growing public archive of women's voices, voice educators, fellow voice researchers, and women of all types will gain greater insight into the structure, behavior, and beauty of our sisters' voices.

Some of the audio files have background noise but my intention was to capture women's voices in a natural environment rather than a lab or sterilized setting. All samples were collected by me with the consent to share.

Students of voice feminization often have incorrect assumptions or standards for what it means to have a female voice. Often times people shoot for way too high of a pitch, too breathy of a sound, or too dynamic in pitch contour. These overestimates create a very caricature-like sound. Hopefully these videos will help give transwomen everywhere a cleaner picture of the range of female voices.

There are several amazing pieces of insight to gain from these samples but I will be waiting for a much bigger data set before making a video analyzing and expressing conclusions.

The quick beige fox jumped in the air over each thin dog. Look out, I should, for he's foiled you again, creating chaos [phonetic pangram].
