Hi! In this video we will be listening, discussing, and observing how to hear resonance. Understanding how to listen for resonance makes the interpretation of your own voice much easier. Most beginners and intermediate individuals have no idea what to listen for to observe resonance. By gaining this awareness of resonance you can trouble shoot and navigate more freely.

The vocal tract resonances have very distinct sounds that are preserved regardless of what actions occur. Each individual resonance acts somewhat like a subtle melody. Our goal is to train the ear to listen for that subtle, warping, resonance melody.

I experimented with different lighting this video and it turned out poorly! Also, there are some gnarly plosives in some of this audio. I tried to manually strip some but it was just too many and I didn't want to re-record everything lol.
