In Iran, the death of 22 year Mahsa Amini in suspicious circumstances, just days after being detained for violating sharia law dress codes, has sparked massive, unprecedented protests across the country. People all over the country, in particular young women and students, have taken to the streets to fight for women's rights, and a 'free and secular Iran'. With Iran being governed governed under strict Islamic law since 1979, this is the greatest challenge this regime has ever faced. It seems that the winds of change may be on their way.
