Bush’s administration and co-anchor of both America’s Newsroom and The Five on Fox News Channel. She’ll be joined by IOP Board of Advisors member Ed Gillespie to discuss her latest book, Everything Will Be Okay: Life Lessons for Young Women (from a Former Young Woman).
Only the second female White House Press Secretary in history, Perino served as the 24th press secretary from 2007 to 2009. She joined the Bush Administration following the September 11 terror attacks and worked as a spokesperson at the Department of Justice. President Obama nominated Perino to serve on the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
Perino’s authorship includes national bestsellers And the Good News Is…: Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side and Let Me Tell You About Jasper…: How My Best Friend Became America’s Dog. Her latest work, Everything Will Be Okay: Life Lessons for Young Women (from a Former Young Woman) offers guidance and reassurance to readers, ranging topics such as relationship advice, jumping up the career ladder, and navigating the job industry as a woman.
Ed Gillespie served as Counselor to the President in the Bush Administration from 2007 to 2009 and was the 61st Chair of the Republican National Committee from 2003 to 2005. He currently leads AT&T’s Washington, DC office.
