Presented by the United States Institute of Peace and the Atlantic Council, the event will examine the long-term societal transformations resulting from the refugee crises in the Middle East and North Africa. MEST Co-Chairs Albright and Hadley, in conversation with IRC President David Miliband, USIP President Nancy Lindborg, and Mayor Antoine Frem of Jounieh, Lebanon, will highlight constructive steps that can be taken to mitigate the risks to vulnerable populations, and discuss the reconstruction of conflict-affected communities.
