28:08Now PlayingDISCLAIMER: This is an old video and my understanding of Nietzsche has moved on considerably since I put this out. I am deeply unhappy with my treatment of ressentiment and of Nietzsche’s account of psychology here.
When it comes to 19th century philosophy, and especially 19th century existentialism, two names are never far from the conversation. Dostoevsky and Nietzsche are two unbelievably fascinating philosophers, and they are wonderful to read together partly because of how much they vehemently disagree on almost everything. And this is just what we shall explore today.
