Cory Booker blasts Marco Rubio at Senate hearing with claims Iran is stronger than before war began

In a heated exchange, Sen. Cory Booker blasted Secretary of State Marco Rubio for the fallout of what he called an “unjustified war," which he argued has strengthened Iran and inflicted widespread economic pain on Americans.

“The Strait of Hormuz was open before this unjustified war, we’re now scrambling to try and get it back open again,” Booker, D-New Jersey, said at a senate hearing, adding that the administration is now "begging" for an agreement.

“No one’s begging for anything here,” Rubio responded. “The Iranians may be begging because their economy is losing hundreds of millions of dollars a day.”
